Improved fireworks/firecrackers: Fireworks and firecrackers manufactured with reduced shell size, elimination of ash use, lower raw-material content in compositions, improved uniform quality, and/or use of additives as dust suppressants to reduce emissions with specific reference to particulate matter (PM), Sulphur Dioxide and Nitrogen Dioxide shall achieve the following reductions compared to conventional compositions for the same category of crackers/fireworks:
a minimum of 30 % reduction in PM.
or a minimum of 20 % reduction in PM plus at least 10 % reduction in gaseous emissions (mass of gases emitted based on composition).
all reductions above are measured relative to the conventional composition for the given category of crackers/fireworks.
