On October 4, 2024, CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI) celebrated its 83rd CSIR Foundation Day.
Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director of IIT Delhi, delivered a keynote on "The Challenge of Sustainability," stressing the need for energy reforms to tackle climate change.
Dr. Atul Vaidya, Director of CSIR-NEERI, highlighted the institute’s mission to promote scientific excellence. The event included honoring long-serving staff, launching the e-version of Paryavaran Patrika, and showcasing student projects in the 'Micro Research Project Competition,' with over 3,100 students engaging with scientists on environmental issues.
