CSIR-NEERI intends to transfer its knowhow on Expression of Interest basis for Domestic Multifuel, Improved Cook Stove “NEERDHUR”. It aims at mitigation of indoor air pollution and fuel saving. A patent application and six design registrations are filed in India.NEERDHUR has high overall thermal efficiency, reduced fuel consumption, reduced emissions, reduced cooking time, zero maintenance, easy to use, improved safety and portability. It is approved by MNRE in February 2016 to meet the emission and thermal efficiency standards of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS 2013)for natural draft cook stove and eligible for subsidy. NEERDHUR achieved a thermal efficiency of 33.33% with emission levels asCO: 3.78 g/MJd, TPM: 340.10 mg/MJd at a power output of 1.70KW.Wood, agro residues, charcoal, pellets etc. could be used as fuels. It supports top and front fuel loading.Rural households, Slum dwellers, Street vendors, Small and medium enterprises, Forest and other Govt. departments can gainfully use this device.
CSIR-NEERI has decided to issue a non-exclusive license for a period of five years for replicating this knowhow countrywide. Interested parties may submit the application proformawith additional information on company profile, registration details, MSME registration certificate, financial audited statements for last three years, list of projects completed and on-going to CSIR-NEERI for shortlisting the firms for issue of license.
